Study Island

Study Island is a very important part of my classroom. It is a proven strategy in helping with the understanding and reinforcement of classroom instruction. I only ask that all students do 20 minutes a night 5 nights a week.

  • Classroom rules for Study Island

  • Students

    • Go to website nightly to see if there is an email from Mr. Sabell

    • Navigate to the Study Island assignment page.

    • Work in the assignment that is either the most behind or the one that is due next.

    • Work at a pace that allows you to think about your answers and not guess.

    • Revisit the ones you miss

    • If you do not understand a topic, move on to the next one and let me know the next day.

  • Parents

    • Help to make sure your students are doing this and keeping up with due dates.

    • Help when needed but do not do the work for them.

    • Encourage your students to try hard.

  • Most Important

    • Study Island is meant to be fun not frustrating.

    • Let students play the games, we can't do this at school.

    • This is not an option and must be completed by all students.
